Carbooting on a Saturday?

REN creams - new 50p, Tobacco box - £3 (I don't smoke I just thought it looked cool), broken watch - £1 (screw fashion enthusiast, I'm going to become a horologist)

Today I went carbooting, I usual go on a Sunday but there was one in a local town that my mum wanted to go to.The car boot was huge, there was a good seller to buyer ratio (my dads carboot maths), but most of the stuff was rubbish, overpriced, fake or obviously stolen. I did find a few little things that I liked, but to be honest I would have rather have had the lie in. I asked one man how much he wanted for his old addidas t-shirt which actually looked fake. He said £10, that's what I mean by it being overpriced, it wasn't as if I wanted to rob some old lady of her china owls.

I'm going to be making a summer holiday lookbook while I'm in France, I'm going on Monday so I may be absent from the internet for a while.

What's In My Travel Beauty Bag?

Bag: Blue Q from ASOS (gifted via fashion perks)

First of all, how cute is the bag? It's a great size and is made from 95% recycled material.

1 'Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray': I got this as a freebie with my Elle subscription, I have used it every day since I got it. I spray it onto wet hair and so far I have been very impressed. I'm not sure if its actually made a difference to the thickness of my hair but it feels a lot softer and feels more voluminous.

2: Essie - 'Bikini So Tini': I really like this colour and find that it goes with most outfits. I won't be painting my nails everyday so this ones perfect as it lasts really well.

3: Mac blusher in 'Dainty': I don't want to wear much make-up when I'm in France because it will be hot and I will be in the pool most of the time, I feel that blusher is a nice simple product to instantly perk up your face. I am also bringing a mac moisture cover concealer but I couldn't find it to photograph.

4: I will bring my Benefit They're Real mascara and a mac eyebrow pencil in 'Lingering' I probably wont wear the mascara much because it's not in the slightest bit waterproof, I will probably just save it for evenings if we end up going for a meal, the same goes for the eyebrow pencil.

Shelly's Is Back

You could explain Shelly's shoes with a Ven Diagram, or at least I will attempt to. In the left circle you have wacky and in the right circle you have sophisticated, and in the cross over part you have Shelly's; a beautiful combination of the two. Shelly's is for people who want to be able to wear marvellously eye catching, taxi stopping, doughnut dropping shoes whilst still being very stylish and smart.

When I was younger I used to read quite a lot of Jacqueline Wilson's 'Girls in...' books, every so often Shelly's would be mentioned and a pair of beautiful shoes would be described. Unfortunately I was reading these books in the mid Naughties, this was when Shelly's had been sold on and hadn't been doing so well, it meant I couldn't be like the characters and own a pair of Shelly's, I think this upset me more than when one of the girls got kidnapped. Come autumn time I will be drooling on my keyboard looking at the shoes on ASOS

Silver Linings

Top:H&M, green top: charity shop, leather skirt: H&M, Shoes: Dr Martens, Necklace: H&M

Recently I've been really enjoying wearing this velvet green top, you can only just see a glimpse of it but I think it adds a nice bit of colour to my outfit. I bought it from a charity shop for about £1, I was attracted to it by the colour and the shape. I really like these Dr Martens, they took ages to break in but they were worth every single blister because they look so damn cool.

So far I think I'm doing quite well as far as posting everyday is concerned, makes me feel like I've actually done something with the day rather than just sit in my pyjamas and watch crappy day time tv.

come back tomorrow for a new post!

Abandoned Petrol Station

Levis Jacket: Carboot, Top: Charity Shop, Trousers: Zara, Shoes: Carvela Kurt Geiger gifted via Harrods, Necklace: H&M, Bag: Bally via Carboot.

Taking outfit post photos in a more interesting location is more rewarding when you come to edit and put them together for a post, everything looks different and more interesting. I'm going to start trying to do more outfit posts in different places, today I went to an abandoned petrol station, it was cool to have a poke around the place and see what kind of stuff people had left there.

I really like the way the green velvet top I'm wearing goes with these amazing glittery cropped trousers from Zara.  To make the outfit look a bit more casual I wore my very worn Levi's denim jacket. I scored the bag from a Car Boot for about £1, it's originally from Bally and is currently filled with magnets (don't ask) sweet wrappers and the odd skittle, It's quickly becoming my favourite bag because it's a really useful size and shape.

Minkpink & Grafea

Can we just take a minute to appreciate how beautiful the above Minkpink smock is.
usually the things I add to my want list are quite different from my actual purchases, my money is usually wasted on wheel barrow's full of chocolate and other stuff I've convinced myself I kneed.
but I really do like this smock by Minkpink and hopefully I will purchase it soon. I think it's something that I'd get quite a lot of wear out of as it's all the things I love in a product jumbled into one (velvet, warm mix of colours, soft, shapeless) and I think that this could be worn in winter as well with some thick tights and a good coat.

I think that this Grafea back pack would contrast nicely with the warm tones in the dress as it's quite a cool toned lilac, Grafea is a English company that make high quality leather goods, I particularly like this back pack because of all the pockets and the silver hardware.

These Zara boots are also worth a mention. The cut of detailing makes it easier to add more interest with a pair of pretty socks. The chunky sole and big silver trimmed straps make the boots a versatile statement piece.

when I was small, If I ever went on a car journey I would feel that it was necessary to bring all my teddies and toys in case they felt neglected, and of course all of these teddies had to bring there baby teddies and they all had to be kept warm, lets just say that by the time I had arrived anywhere the car looked like a Care Bear had thrown up in a washing machine.

I'm going on holiday to France on the 12th, I have been every year since I was a baby. I will be in a car for 10 hours straight and when you have a little brother (not so little, he's nearly 14) who likes to make aeroplane and machine gun noises, I need something that's going to drown out his whining's, so I will take my Urbanears, I love the colour and that they fold up.

I will bring a flask of tea or coffee In my Thermos flask which I bought at a Carboot. I couldn't resist it's orangey metalicness. yes, I make up words now. I'm a Wordographer.

I will bring my I-pad which I will fill up with free BBC I-player downloads (it's the new thing)

I will bring with me a copy of vogue, this is only if I cant work out how to let the people at vogue know that I am entitled to it on my I-pad for free.

I will bring a sketch book or notebook.

I'm going to take my favourite sunglasses bought from a carboot, they were made in France so they will be going home, hope they don't get too comfy there.

And of course, I will bring a shed load of sour starburts because everyone needs sweets on a long journey and if you haven't tried them already I highly recommend them. (I'm trying to prevent there extinction so go buy some)

I will be putting all of this stuff in my orange Zatchel.

I am now going to be posting every day until the 12th, so make sure you come back daily! I also have to some interesting holiday, blog posts and YouTube video ideas planned (subscribe to my channel here)
