Blossoms

Dungarees: House Of Hackney, shoes: carvela kurt geiger c/o Harrods, top: H&M (OLD), bag: charity shop.

I love this time of year. The suns out, all the trees are green again and there's blossom all around. It's also a lot easier to take photographs because it's light for longer and there's less chance of rain. Also taking blog pictures is a lot more appealing when there's an abundance of floral backdrops to choose from. The warmer weather has got me wanting to dress all summary. I have a wish list as long as Naomi Campbell's neck of things that I'd love from Free People, I love there stuff so much - it's all the kinds of things that I like.

P.s: If you have 2 minutes spare, and if you enjoy reading my blog it would be amazing if you could nominate me for the company blogger awards under ''Best Teen Style Blogger'' Just pop fashionrhapsody.com in the url section! (CLICK HERE).

Carboot Haul: Indian Jewellery

The carboots started again this morning, the one in my village wasn't very big but that was to be expected since it is the start of carbooting season. Getting up at 7am on a sunday was a bit of a shock to the system, but I gulped some tea down and managed to find a couple of pretty things. As you may know, I don't really wear jewellery, and the stuff I do wear is usually from carboots. Two lovely Indian ladies were selling off all there trinkets and I cherry picked my favourites, I bought 2 necklaces, which are quite short and almost choker style, two pendants and one pair of earrings (I didn't manage to get a clear photo of the earrings). The total cost of all the jewellery was £4.50, which is an absolute bargain considering how pretty they are. I can't wait to wear them and style them in an outfit post for you!

A Horsey Affair.

Top, kimono, shorts: Charity shop, Bag: Vintage, Shoes c/o Glamorous

Today, since it was nice weather and the first day of my Easter holidays I decided to go on a walk and take some outfit photos for my blog. To get to where I wanted to go on my walk I had to walk across a field with two horses in. I should probably mention that I'm actually quite scared of horses because I got kicked by one in that very field when I was about 7, I was facing my fear. I started walking across the field, at first the horses didn't seem to mind, but when I was about half way across one of them started edging closer to me, he continued to do so until I could feel his breath moving my hair, I  realised that the horse didn't really pose much of a threat, and all it probably wanted was a scratch on the nose, so I cautiously turned around and reached out towards him, thankfully he didn't bight my fingers off as I had anticipated. He accepted my fuss and continued to follow me, meanwhile the other horse hadn't budged at all, by this time I was at the edge of the field and stepping over the style, as I stepped over the style the other horse whinnied and started charging towards the style, I mentally crapped myself and legged it over the style, the horse didn't attempt to jump the style as I thought it was going to but it instead decided to charge around the field, whinnying and scratching the ground like it was challenging the other horse. They then both ran off into there sheds and I didn't see them again. Probably wont be going in that field for while.

3 years of Fashion Rhapsody, teenage blogging, confidence, school and college:

Top: charity shop, jacket: Levis, skirt: primark, shoes: ASOS

Sorry it just slipped out....

In 2 months time I will have had my blog for 3 years, it's quite weird actually, I can't even remember why I started my blog - I think I was sciving off school. I just liked reading blogs and wanted to have one of my own. Three years ago I was 14, I had a blog before then too, but I can't remember what happened to that. I don't even know how I managed to keep this up for three years, but I guess it's not hard to be persistent with something you enjoy. I never told anyone that I had a blog until Harrods asked me to do a post with them, and even then I only told my closest friends and family, they still weren't aloud the link - so they knew I had a blog, they just weren't aloud to see it. Now, I don't really care, I just show it too anyone - I still get a little bit embarrassed, which is strange because I don't really embarrass that easy about any other stuff - just that. It's probably because I'm scared someone will take one look and think it's shit. Also, I can't really imagine that it would have gone down particularly well in school, considering a lot of people liked to think it was there job to make other people feel uncomfortable. As soon as I left school I immediately felt more confident, and I stated being less reluctant to share it with people outside of the internet. Now, this could just be me being paranoid, but I think some people think that because I have this, and because I don't mind sharing it with people that must mean that I'm a super confident posy twit on the internet - I think in some respects I am quite confident now, but that wasn't the case for a lot of my time in school, and it certainty wasn't just an easy snap decision I made to stop hiding it from people. I'm really glad I stopped being stupid and just let people see it because I have had a lot more support since. I'm just looking forward to making the next post, and seeing where it goes from there.

Also I hate to keep plugging this, but if you enjoy reading my blog and if you think that I deserve the title of ''Best Teen Style Blogger'' in the company blog awards, it would be really lovely if you could nominate me here:

Thanks, Rose xo

Simple Stripe Crop

Top & skirt: Topshop, shoes: dr martens, bag: charity shop

Even though I am a lover of bright, colourful, slightly unusual clothes I still love a really good simple striped top. They never really go out of fashion, is that because they're never really in fashion? You never see a fashion magazine edit on all the hottest striped tops, they're not really ''trendy'' but not terminally uncool, just uber classic. I like the high neck and sleeve length of this crop top from Topshop, I really like tops with a midi sleeve, I just think they're very flattering.

Also this morning I found out that Company are kicking off there annual style blogger awards again tomorrow, I would be soooo grateful if you could take like 3 minutes to nominate me under 'best teen style blog', it would be so amazing to get nominated so pleeeeeaaaase guys!

(Edit: please could you now nominate me under 'best teen style blogger' in the company blog awards, it would be so amazing to get nominated! heres the link: - if you could just put fashionrhapsody.com in the blog url section that would be lovely!)
