Room Tour & New YouTube Video

My mum and dad recently gave me the opportunity to move into my older brothers bedroom, he moved away a couple of years ago and my little brother has been needing more space, so it made sense for him to move into my room and for me to move into this room. It's a little cottagey half finished building. On and off, I spent about a month clearing it out. After I had cleared the room out, my dad had to take out a chimney, we then painted the walls and the floor. The room has five windows so gets a huge amount of light, which is nice in the day but it makes having a lie in impossible.

Most of the things in my room are things that I've found at carboots or charity shops, I like updating furniture. My favourite thing in my room is my wardrobe, I had seen a couple of similar looking things on Pinterest, so I drew up an idea and me and my dad spent a day putting one together.

If you would like to see more of my room, I filmed a room tour video.

Vintange Tings

Top: Motel Rocks vintage*, skirt: topshop, shoes: Miista

Recently I've been really loving boho vintagey styles. I've been wanting a top like this for a really long time, and now that I have one it's hard to take it off! It's been a total life saver in the heat we've been having recently, it's one of those things that's just so easy to dress up or dress down. I also made a little OOTD video, if you'd like to check it out and subscribe that would be awesome!

House Of Holland & Miista

Dress/top: house of holland, shoes: miista, belt: diy from a moschino bag

I've been a fan of Miista shoes for a couple of years, I just think they are perfect - exciting, colourful and different. These 'Amber' babes aren't really that colourful, but the buckles are sparkly and they're so light I feel like I'm walking on air, that really surprised me. I bought two pairs in the urban outfitters sale, I feel slightly guilty but I'm fairly certain my feet have stopped growing so I'll be able to wear them for a wee while yet. I also got this shaaamazing House of Holland dress, I think it's cloud print - I wish clouds really looked like this.

Recently I've been debating whether or not to start a YouTube channel, and whether it's right for me. It's a whole different ball game to blogging and I'm slightly nervous about doing it which is probably why I've left it so long. But I've thought quite a lot about it, and I've decided I probably have more to gain from it than I have to loose. Also, I really enjoy editing video so it would be nice to mix some skills together. If you have any suggestions as to what you want me to make videos about, please leave them in the comments or tweet me @fashionrhapsody

What I've Been Up To

*shout out to my neighbours for letting me take photos on there farm*
Bralette: c/o free people, skirt: vintage, shoes: opening ceremony x adidas, socks: opening ceremony, Jacket: carboot.

Its fair to say Ive had a mad couple of weeks – fabulous, but still mad. Ive finished my first year at college, and I had to balance doing my end-of-year fashion show and handing in my last projects (I can’t believe how much I left myself to do!) with going to some amazing events.

First, I was invited to Company magazine’sStyle Blogger Awards’ eveningafter they short-listed me for best teen style bloggerI didnt win but had a lovely/adventurous time. Not to bore you, but I arrived an hour late, after my tube train to Bethnal Green broke down, then I walked right into these two guys doing a drug deal before I met a friendly American girl who helped me find the venue. I missed the actual awards and had to leave after an hour because I had to catch my train home, but on the way out I met uber gal Gem from Company and Gem Fatale and then bumped into twwomen from Crewe Clothing, who were deep in conversation with the owner of HackettBut after I left them I got really lost. A bouncer outside a pub saw my pathetic attempts to hail a taxi and started laughing before saying, ‘Ere, watch this love,’ and then running into the middle of the road to stop a cab for me.

Then, this Wednesday, me and my best mate made our way up to London for the Company Rising Stars music event. It was held at the Queen of Hoxton, everything looked so cool; the roof garden was especially fab; the sun was shining, there were loads of people and a great vibe. At the event I got street-style snapped (here) and a henna tattoo. Laurel, one of the singers, had the sweetest voice, but again I had to leave to get my train before another singer, Rainy Milo, came on.

Yesterday I moved into my new room, its been a DIY project of mine for a couple of months and I cant wait to show it to you, Ill do a post soon.
